Background: Democratic Jobs clients are looking for Democratic Digital Organizer is a crucial role in today’s political campaigns and advocacy organizations. They are responsible for digital organizing programs, which involve using tools and platforms like social media to mobilize grassroots supporters and provide services to supporters online. Digital organizers work closely with the organizing team to recruit and engage volunteers, create and manage an online volunteer community, and implement digital strategies to advance the campaign’s goals. They also play a vital role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as volunteers, supporters, and other organizations. Additionally, digital organizers often work on digital communication efforts, which may include creating and editing videos, producing training materials, and managing social platforms. A qualified candidate for this role should have excellent organizational skills, be proficient in digital tools, and possess strong communication and leadership abilities.
Roles/Duties:
- Develop and implement digital organizing strategies to identify, persuade, and turn out voters for Democratic campaigns, causes, and organizations
- Manage online outreach through email, social media, text messaging, and other digital channels
- Create, test, and optimize digital content including graphics, videos, and written posts
- Track and analyze campaign data to optimize online engagement, fundraising, and voter contact efforts
- Stay up-to-date on latest trends and technologies in digital organizing and campaigns
- Collaborate with field, communications, and other teams to ensure an integrated voter contact strategy
- Help train fellow organizers and volunteers in effective digital organizing tactics
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience running successful campaigns along with the strategic vision and leadership skills to guide the candidate to victory. They must be committed to the democratic process and align with the candidate's values.
- 1-3 years experience organizing voters and volunteers digitally
- Strong knowledge of voter databases, online fundraising platforms, social media channels
- Data-driven approach and ability to use analytics to optimize programs
- Excellent communication and creative skills
- Commitment to Democratic Party principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for civic engagement and progressive causes
