Background: Democratic Jobs clients are looking for Democratic Finance Director is responsible for planning and executing all fundraising efforts and meeting annual fundraising goals for the Democratic party organization. This is a senior leadership role focused on developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
Roles/Duties:
- Set and monitor progress toward annual, quarterly and monthly fundraising goals
- Develop and execute annual fundraising plans and budgets
- Identify, cultivate and solicit contributions from major donors, foundations, corporations etc.
- Expand the major gifts program through identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors
- Oversee fundraising database management and tracking systems
- Coordinate fundraising events including logistics, promotion, sponsorships etc.
- Develop and maintain public relations to promote visibility and build donor relationships
- Comply with all campaign finance laws and contribution reporting requirements
- Analyze fundraising metrics, identify issues and refine strategies as needed
- Manage relationships with vendors, consultants and other external partners
- Recruit, train and manage development staff members
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience running successful campaigns along with the strategic vision and leadership skills to guide the candidate to victory. They must be committed to the democratic process and align with the candidate's values.
- 5+ years experience in political, nonprofit or campaign fundraising role
- Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive fundraising goals
- Knowledge of donor research, prospecting and management
- Strong organizational, analytical and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication and public speaking abilities
- Knowledge of campaign finance regulations and reporting
- Bachelor's degree required
Benefits
