You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, overseeing major donor fundraising efforts, and managing a team of fundraising professionals. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters will be crucial in securing the necessary funds to drive the party’s initiatives forward. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing the annual budget and operating budget, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience building and leading successful fundraising teams, possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic political environment. Roles/Duties:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and campaigns to support the organization's short-term and long-term fundraising goals
    • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major individual and institutional donors capable of making large contributions
    • Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems to manage donor information and giving history
    • Set and monitor fundraising targets, metrics and progress for various campaigns and initiatives
    • Collaborate with communications team to create effective messaging and materials for fundraising appeals
    • Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and follow-up
    • Stay up-to-date with campaign finance laws and regulations
    • Represent the organization publicly and network to build relationships with potential high-level donors
    • Manage fundraising staff and provide mentoring on best practices

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience running successful campaigns along with the strategic vision and leadership skills to guide the candidate to victory. They must be committed to the democratic process and align with the candidate's values.

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in fundraising, especially major gift fundraising
  • Knowledge of campaign finance laws and fundraising best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Passion for the organization's mission and causes
